MovableType 3.34 Updates 15 Times Faster
SixApart announced MovableType 3.34 fixing an important XSS security bug and boosting speed to 15 times thanks to fastcgi. Upgrading to the latest release is highly recommended for the security bug, but moving to FastCGI won't be easy for shared hosting if your provider don't support it.

And to make MovableType tweaks more powerful, there is more performance tuning that you might check beside the FastCGI for example using the new MT-Burn, RebuildQueue and RebuildLess plugin to tweak rebuilding. If your server isn't really strong enough, I don't recommend at all the Dynamic Publishing options, because a simple Digg or a slashdot and your server is down. I have upgraded to 3.34 now, but I'll post later more details about installing FastCGI for Linux/Apache server.
