Estimate your Earning, Evaluate your niche !
Many bloggers are interested to evaluate their blogs earning, or to estimate the value of their new niche to launch. Having an exact value is very difficult, but you can make an estimation of your earning with many tools such evaluSense. The whole story is based on advertisment and the value of the different keywords, contextual advertising systems such AdSense, YPN, chitika or others have different systems to evaluate each keyword and how to display advertising accordingly. So when we talk about optimization, it's interesting to start from the beginning and choose the most profitable niche.
Google have recently added a Traffic Estimator to their AdWords tools. Such tools could be very helpful for bloggers to evaluate a niche. First you choose a set of keywords using their Keyword Tool, and try to filter them to get the most relevant ones for your niche. Then using the traffic estimator you inject these keywords to the traffic estimator, and try to get the maximum CPC. You might repeat these steps many times by choosing more keywords and find the best CPC until you'll be satisfied !
This is a first step to have "an evaluation" for your niche, of course if we are talking about the maximum that could be earn we have to specify that this maximum require traffic, visitors, activity, ... but this is another story ! In addition to such evaluation there is also the possibility to have additional earning for example if you have products that could be easily sold using this niche and so you'll create a store and a direct earning. Or you can opt for affiliate links and products related, an interesting way to earn more revenue. The most interesting niche will be certainly the most variant one where you can create different kind of revenue and assure the most higher continuation.
We'll be talking later about evaluSense but this time with much more details as an advanced tool to evaluate blog's earning. Many bloggers today are selling their blogs and based on many information for example domain apraisal to evaluate the domain name, the current monthly revenue, the current traffic, .. etc. But did you estimated how much this blog really worth ? evaluSense will start collecting lot of information from the blogosphere in the next days, but the product will be mainly an evaluation tool for the current earning of a blog.
