Blog Design Solutions Reviewed

Jonathan Snook have reviewed Blog Design Solutions, an interesting book written by Andy Budd, Simon Collison, Chris J Davis, Michael Heilemann, John Oxton, David Powers, Richard Rutter, and Phil Sherry, and that will certainly interest many bloggers. Blog Design Solutions is the book for people who are looking to start their first blog or already started one or two, starting with the concept of blog then setting up the necessary software to work Apache, MySQL, Perl and PHP.

Then you'll go exploring the different plateforms Movable Type, Expression Engine, WordPress, TextPattern ... and see for each plateform the install procedures, creating a web standards-based design and integrating the design into the application. A good start to create a successful design, but I think it's the kind of book that will interest more designers than bloggers without knowledge in design. Also you have to choose if you really need a good design for a blog or simply make some changes to the existing default ones ?
