BlogExplosion have been launched in 2004 to provide help for bloggers to explode their blog and promote it in the blogosphere. It was known that BlogExplosion wasn't really successful, the prove : It's up for sale ! The news have been announced friday 3 march, that BlogExplosion will be up for sale this week, and it's not a april fool as Thomas and Jeff said. BlogExplosion as the post announced is making less than 5K per month which is nothing in my opinion compared to the big efforts that they are providing and the tons of services that they are offering.

After many long discussions over the last couple of weeks we have decided that it is time to find a company that can take BlogExplosion to the next level.

When we started BlogExplosion in October 2004 we never dreamed it would ever get this large. Starting as a simple traffic exchange and blog directory, BE has evolved into one of the largest blog communities on the internet! We think that another company is best suited to take over what we started here and continue to make BE one of the best places for bloggers to visit.

The reasons, I think there are a lot, maybe the business model that choosed BlogExplosion wasn't the best one, Not a big investment behind it and maybe this sale will provide a solution to make it better. The sale include also 70 domain name for blog related, so as I can understand they are completly leaving the blogging business. Anyway I think they have make already good job with blogExplosion in the last year, and maybe they could find a better business in the future.
