About 4500 subscriptions in AJAX Magazine Feeds

Last week I downloaded access logs of AJAX Magazine to do some stats, especially to check feeds subscriptions. I have already described the process I use for RSS subscriptions, by analyzing the access log. The only difference today that I'm running the process separately for each blog and generating a stats file with the Top subscriptions and the Top Clients used.

Compared to last year, the RSS subscriptions have increased due to many reasons due to the popularity of the blogs but also the solution that I've used to generate statics RSS/Atom files. The access log file analyzed are now huge, about 150Mb just for the AJAX Magazine. Maybe the top menu link in AJAX Magazine attracts readers to choose the Atom format for feed subscriptions because I noticed the difference in all the blogs.

The Results was very interesting for example the AJAX Magazine have this month 3554 subscriptions using Atom and 943 subscriptions using RSS. A total of 4497 subscription this month and of course a very big number of feed readers desktop and web-based. Mozilla 5 was the number 1 overall with 37796 visit. I have tryed to remove all bots but if you know more bots in the list below I would be interested to remove also, probably making more detailed stats by readers, desktops feed readers, web-based ones, bots such Google and Yahoo ...

I personaly use GreatNews for reading feeds, but I found it not well ranked in these stats. For example I was surprised to see the Akregator, the KDE feed reader, also Feedreader and SharpReader where on the top. Anyway the results are below :
