del.icio.us sold to Yahoo!

y.ah.oo! The news have been announced yesterday, del.icio.us is officially now joigning the Yahoo! family. A social link sharing service that proved its maturity and interest to many investors and users specially. del.icio.us launched this year, become fastly very popular and win a great notority.

We're proud to announce that del.icio.us has joined the Yahoo! family. Together we'll continue to improve how people discover, remember and share on the Internet, with a big emphasis on the power of community. We're excited to be working with the Yahoo! Search team - they definitely get social systems and their potential to change the web. (We're also excited to be joining our fraternal twin Flickr!)

We want to thank everyone who has helped us along the way - our employees, our great investors and advisors, and especially our users. We still want to get your feedback, and we look forward to bringing you new features and more servers in the future.

Also Yahoo! who bought Flickr few months before, is trying to join different social services that proved their great service and are making really big traffic, to keep Yahoo! the central website with lot of great service around. But as we notice before, Yahoo! is very different from google in its strategy for example after Flickr have been sold we didn't seen great development and lot of new features, while google after they bought any service they work on it and improve it to launch it as a new product.

Congratulations ! its really del.icio.us !!
