Steps from $0 to $1000 of monthly blogging revenue

Many bloggers today don't see anything but revenue from their blogs, while the most important point to see is the blog itself. And I'm not talking about people started blogging two months ago and looking to make thousands of dollars since the first month. This is obviously impossible, and there is a general rule that lot of money don't come easily and if it does, it means that there is something wrong.

In my opinion a blog could easily hit the $1000 monthly by its first year of blogging. But be ready for newbies to see your revenue slowly growing with your blog. I personaly hit my very first $100 with adsense by the fourth month, if you think about the Google AdSense Referrals program. I'm talking here about new bloggers, even bloggers in blogging network are experienced. So if a blogging network like b5media announced about $1500 its first month, you should know that its a team of experienced bloggers that each one have a successful blogging experience.

You can see the evolution of my blogging revenue, even that I'm not interested in the revenue itself, I was interested in the evolution. Does a blog really worth ? How it could be and when ?

The answer to the first question was yes of course, you can see pro bloggers like Darren Rowse and how much he's earning from blogging. The how is the hard work of course, optimization, and everything that could make a blog successful to drive traffic in it. And finaly the when, everything has its time.

This could not be general for all bloggers, but its just my humble opinion about blogging revenue for a first year :

  • Month 1 : From $0 to $1 /month. Work a lot and don't expect too much. Prepare your blogging plateform to host your next business.
  • Month 2 : From $1 to $5 / month. Keep working on your blog, add more content, and find ways to drive traffic.
  • Month 3 : From $20 to $30/month. Happily you reach the $1/day, a difficult gap for newbies. You need more traffic and more ideas !
  • Month 4 : From $30 to $120 /month. With lot of work you may reach your first $100. Try to find innovative ideas, good content and you're about 500 to 1000 of daily visitors. Work to reach your second gap of $10 daily in this month.
  • Month 5 : From $100 to $150 / month. You reach your $10/day gap, now you work to keep it stable. Keep your eyes on ads and always more content is needed.
  • Month 6 : From $150 to $250 / month. The $10/day have been reached but not everyday, find more techniques to drive traffic, add more content.
  • Month 7 : From $300 to $400 / month. The $10 daily gap is reached easily this month. Expect from 1000 to 2000 daily visitors, have you prepared good content for them ?
  • Month 8 : From $400 to $600 / month. The previous two months you exceed the $20 daily, now its time to make it your average daily revenue.
  • Month 9 : From $600 to $800 /month. Next gap $30 daily, if you worked hard in the previous months you may see good result in this month. You still need new ideas, more content.
  • Month 10 : From $800 to $900 / month. It start to become interesting ? you exceed the 3000 daily visitors, you need to keep them with having enough content in your website.
  • Month 11 : From $900 to $1100 / month. If your blog is well optimized, you have written good content, your visitors are happy to find things they were looking for. You should expect to make $1000/month very nearly, if you already did.
  • Month 12 : From $1000 to $1200 / month. First year blogging is over, you should be able to make easily $1000/month. Next year will be more interesting !

Its just a vision of what you could make with blogging, but this is more realistic than the fantasy and dreaming slogans of making $4000/month with google adsense or $1000/day from home ... and too much bla bla bla. Of course you could make much more or much less. And in my opinion a blogger who can make a successful evolution is better than the one who make $1000 the first day then nothing for two years. With the previous schedule, you can easily make at least $4000 the first year.

And something else you may notice which is very important that the revenue increase every month and never decrease. Strange or very normal result ? The daily revenue still of course always instable fluctuating every day depending on many factors, like the funny conclusion I made last month that every day I blog my revenue increase. Anyway hope this was helpful and giving you a vision about blogging revenue.
