Moblogging from Nokia Series 60 smartphone

I bought a new smartphone yesterday, a nokia 6630, a year old model but good price ( about $360 ) and nice features. Something I liked so much is the Lifeblog preinstalled, and it was one of the reasons to get it. Lifeblog support blogging easily via atom which is supported by pLog, so I just configured atom plugin : image category, blog category, password, resizing for picts ... etc. Then from Lifeblog I entered the URL of my atom server username, password and that's all !

I don't know yet how to take screenshots so I'll show you another time some picts. My windows smartphone experience was bad, windows is more buggy with mobile, msn sucks, internet explorer is very slow and finally I'm back again to symbian's world ! I find nokia mobile very friendly and even more easy to develop applications than windows. Maybe I could be back to some old plans.

The best app I've found for screenshots on Series 60 is the freeware Fexplorer from http://www.gosymbian.com/ . It's primarily a file browser that let's you see the folders that are normally hidde, but go to Options->Tools->Turn ScreenShot On. Then press the pen key and zero at the same time to take a photo. You can then even use Lifeblog to sync the photos to your PC :)

btw, it could be handy for others if you wrote a little step by step guide about how to get Lifeblog working with pLog. Or is it really so easy that this isn't neccesary? :)

Hi,

I am trying to find out how many blogging platforms (hosted service or blogging platform software) already suuport ATOM and thus compatible with Nokia Lifeblog. Is ATOM support a standard feature of pLog? How many users of pLog are there?

yes pLog support ATOM
pLog users ? thousands, if it's not millions ! there is at least 60000 downloads of pLog from Sourceforge.net, and if you google for "powered by pLog" you'll find 894,000 results !
