First Google AdSense Optomization Webinar
Today there is the second Google AdSense Optomization Webinar, but before it I wanted to point to the last Webinar on June 30 and the most important tips that was revealed from the experienced Adsense users .
The first thing is to put content first. Focus on making your site's content and your user experience the best on the Web for your content niche. If you are only interested in making money, visitors will know and they'll flee.
I think that content is the key of AdSense, not money ! And a successful website will make money for sure maybe not only from AdSense but it could be great to increase revenue.
Try not to change the site's layout to fit ads, but the other way around; making the ads fit the content.
In fact if your website is already running there is no need to change it, but its better to make Ads fit with your layout. This is of course not always valid because usually many people keep places for Ads the same time they're designing the layout and I think this approach is much better.
You have to experiment to figure out what works on your site.
In fact, the second key of success is to experiment new things, new positions, new colors, new techniques, until you find the best way which fit your website layout and increase your revenue.
I do have a 50/50 balance in between the number of the pages that are forums and content. But the content seems to always perform a little bit better.
Content is better than forum even if there is a new feature which is CPM that could be great for forums.
K. Malone : Another example is actually Google.com and so the whole idea of Google.com is to send people to other Websites, right? But people come back and back and back to it because it's useful. So I think we found that our publishers who create sites that are really useful, have loyal users who tell their friends about it and the users would come back and back and if the ad offerings are useful to users, then that can contribute to the users coming back to the site in the future.
This one will answer those who ask if they're loosing visitors by Ads, you won't probably make another google, but at least provide a good content which make people come back to visit your website. And finally
K. Malone: You should never click on your own ads.
This could probably happen to many Adsense users, but Google could terminate such accounts. So if you're interested by testing Ads on your content there is a preview tool that you could use and so you keep your account safe.
I just prepared some questions to the next Webinar to ask, hope I won't miss it.
