evaluSense - The content evaluation tool
evaluSense is an evaluation tool for your page's content. It creates a tag cloud of most relevant keywords in your article and try to evaluate the most important keywords that will be used by AdSense. This version support content in english only.
For this first tutorial I'll try to introduce the evaluSense tool with the basic features, how it could be useful, what kind of informations it can give
Why evaluSense
I was asking the question, how can I determine if what I'm writing is relevant or no ? Even if I know some relevant keywords personaly I'm enable to blog about them, somehow its not my business. So I wanted to have a tool that can give me some good information about my article : keywords I'm using, and the possible paid keywords.
As a beginning I'm studying keywords as 'single word' since its the more simple, then I'll try to expand it to support keywords of two or more words. Such analyze could give excellent information about the quality of your article, 'the semantic way', because we're not talking about the quality of writing itself.
How evaluSense work
First evaluSense create a list of keywords from your article + title, these keywords will be filtered to remove common words and not not useful ones. From these keywords we create a cloud that show these relevant keywords. Its in this time that we apply the evaluSense to find possible paid keywords which we add to the cloud for a better visualisation. The evaluSense is then calculated based on this analyse to show an average earning from this article. It also show some statistical informations and an evaluSense Quality which represent the paid keywords percentage found in your article.
Using evaluSense
Its really simple, you enter article + title + domain name ( not the url of the article ) and you submit !
Analysing the evaluSense
In this tool I've created two main parameters which is the evaluSense itself and the evaluSense Quality Percentage. The first one represent possible revenue from the article, the more the evaluSense is high the more you could get money. The second one represent the paid keywords percentage found in your article as I have already said, but try to read it again, its somehow the percentage of keywords I'm using in my article that could be used by advertisers. So the more relevant paid keywords I have the more chances to have relevant ads on my article. Not very brilliant I guess ?
It can give you an idea why in some articles you'r talking about a subject and ads are displayed about another one. And this is of course the optimization of the article itself, we'll go more further in the next article to talk about the whole website.
Useful Tips
I'm adding few tips to this article, and I'll add more in the next coming.
As I have said, this tool is experimental and I'll try to improve it so it become more useful for content optimization in general not only AdSense.
